\n\tKENOSHA, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish defeated the Lakeshore Chinooks 4-3 on Tuesday to complete a home-and-home series sweep at Historic Simmons Field. With the win, the Kingfish improved their record to 5-3, while the Chinooks fell to 3-5 for the year.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKenosha jumped on the board first in this one, scoring a pair of runs in the second inning on a 2-run bomb from designated hitter Derek Bangert (Bradley), his third homer of the season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Chinooks attempted to chip away from that point forward, finally getting to right-hander Quinn Snarskis (Saint Joseph’s) in the fifth inning. Snarskis began the inning with bookending walks around two strikeouts, before leadoff hitter Drake Ludin (Eastern Michigan) hit a two-run single that cut Lakeshore’s deficit in half.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLakeshore tied the game off left-hander Seth Rosenberg (Northern Kentucky) on a wild pitch in the sixth inning, and took a lead in the seventh with the help of left fielder Connor Kimple (Oklahoma State), who started the inning with a leadoff triple. Three batters later, he scored on a sacrifice fly by third baseman Jacob Richardson (Southern Arkansas).\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter that, it was Kenosha’s turn to rally, as left fielder Jack Yalowitz (Illinois) led the seventh off with a double and scored on an RBI single by third baseman Samuel Vega (Northern Illinois). The Kingfish retook the lead for good in the eighth inning on a go-ahead run-scoring single by shortstop Ben Troike (Illinois).\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSnarskis tossed five innings in his start, allowing one run on three hits and three walks while fanning six. Rosenberg earned the win with three innings of relief, while Billy McKay (Florida) nailed down the safe with a perfect ninth.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tYalowitz finished the evening with three hits including a double and a run scored, while center fielder Connor Doyle also collected three hits and stole a base. Troike finished 2-for-4 with an RBI out of the ninth spot in the order.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kingfish will look to extend their win streak to three games on Wednesday when they welcome Battle Creek to Historic Simmons Field, with first pitch set for 6:35p.m.\n<\/p>\n
