\n\tKenosha, WI – October 16, 2013.  At the Ceremonial First Seat Installation at Simmons Field today, Kenosha Baseball announced that they will host a free, public event being called the Kenosha Baseball Launch Party on Saturday, November 23rd<\/sup> starting at 1 p.m.<\/span><\/span> at Historic Simmons Field.  <\/span>The greater Kenosha area will have their first chance to tour the newly renovated facility and find out the identity of the new Northwoods League Franchise. The team will also unveil the name and logo for the team during the Launch Party.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tInstalling the first seat was a major milestone for the ball club and construction crews will continue installing nearly 2,100 stadium seats in the upcoming weeks.  <\/span>Mayor Keith Bosman, John Camosy from Camosy Contsruction, County Exec Jim Kreuser, and other dignitaries were on hand today for the ceremony.  <\/span>Construction remains on schedule for the renovation and remaining projects include new entry gates, brick paver walkways throughout the facility using bricks originally used on downtown Kenosha streets, aesthetic work on the original grandstand behind home-plate, and more.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Kenosha Baseball Launch Party will feature complimentary ballpark food and beverages for all guests in attendance as they celebrate the completion of the renovation to Historic Simmons Field and the branding of Kenosha’s newest team. Live music entertainment, kids activities and stadium tours will be provided throughout the afternoon event. Kenosha Baseball plans to announce several more entertainment acts in the weeks leading up to the event as plans are finalized.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

Playing its 21st <\/sup>season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including MLB All-Stars Max Scherzer (DET), Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYY), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
