The Kenosha Kingfish are excited to announce that new and improved bathroom facilities will be completed at Historic Simmons Field for the 2018 Northwoods League season. The bathroom project is the start of a joint long-term capital improvement plan between the Kingfish and the City of Kenosha.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe organization is committed to providing fans with the best possible game day experience\u201d said General Manager Scott Preimesberger.\u00a0 \u201cAt the end of each season we conduct a fan survey and speak with group outing and ticket package customers about what we can continue to improve on. Fans spoke up about the need for updated bathroom facilities at the ballpark, so we listened to what they had to say and got this project underway.\u201d<\/p>\n
The first phase of the new plan will consist of adding four additional stalls to the women\u2019s bathroom.\u00a0 In addition, a new family restroom will also be added which will be located next to the current men\u2019s facility by the American Outfitters Team Store. Construction is set to begin soon.<\/p>\n
In addition to the bathroom renovations, the Kingfish also announced last week the Share the Glove initiative, a celebration of the Northwoods League\u2019s 25th<\/sup> Anniversary.\u00a0 The Kingfish will be partnering up with the Northwoods League and Rawlings to award a softball equipment package to one local softball little league. The grant will consist of two sets of catcher\u2019s equipment, ten gloves, eight batting helmets, six bats and one bucket of practice balls.
