Kenosha, Wis. – The Kenosha Kingfish were looking to get their second win of the season following their opening day victory against the Bombers, but were cut short due to mother nature. The starting pitcher for the Kingfish, Aaron Mutter (Winona State), had his night cut short after rain ended his start after a third of an inning. <\/span><\/p>\n Storms caused a delay that lasted just over two hours, forcing Kaleb Schmidt to come into the game in the top of the first inning. Wet conditions played a factor in the five runs scored by the Bombers in the first inning. <\/span><\/p>\n After the game picked back up, the recovery was short lived once fog started to roll in from right field. In the top of the second Kingfish left fielder, Mike Madej, proclaimed that the fog caused an incredible difficulty in seeing the ball, or seeing at all. <\/span><\/p>\n This caused something many of the fans and baseball players alike to see something that very people have ever experienced while watching baseball. The fog caused the umpires to tell Bombers batter, Alec Cargin, to hit fly balls to Madej to test the visibility. Soon after another delay, this time for fog, was decided by the umpires. <\/span><\/p>\n Thirty minutes after the declared fog delay, the game was suspended after one and a third innings. The game tonight has been rescheduled for July 26th when the Bombers come back into town. This will be a continuation of this game, scheduled for a start of 4:30 and will be a complete nine inning game. The second game will take place 30 minutes after the first one is completed, and will be a seven inning game. <\/span><\/p>\n The Kingfish will take the field tomorrow as they seek their second victory versus the Lakeshore Chinooks.
