Kenosha, Wis. \u2013 The Kenosha Kingfish (6-9) take down the Wisconsin Rapid Rafters (10-5) in the second game of the series by a score of 10-4.<\/span><\/p>\n

The starter for the Kingfish tonight was Denson Hull (Creighton). This was his fourth start of the year, this time going six strong innings allowing four runs and striking out three. Cale Cuddie (UW Stevens Point) entered in the seventh and pitched a scoreless inning on only 14 pitches. <\/span><\/p>\n

Only one more pitcher was needed for the Fish and it was Brady Kais (McHenry CC) getting the call to pitch the seventh and eighth to close out the game. In his two innings he allowed two hits and struck out two Rafters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan Byrd got the call for the Rafters on the mound, and pitched three innings while allowing seven hits, and six runs in which five were earned. Daniel Ross followed Byrd, pitching two-thirds of an inning but allowing four runs although none of them were earned. These four runs came off the bat of David Renning (UT Arlington) in the fourth inning when he hit a grand slam, his first homerun of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The offense for the Kingfish was in full force Wednesday night, putting ten runs on the board. The stars that made this offensive performance happen include David Renning who went 2-5, scoring three times, and had 5 RBI\u2019s. Four of those RBI\u2019s came off one swing with his grand slam. <\/span><\/p>\n

Other players that made key contributions were Carson McCusker (Oklahoma State) and Will Wagner (Liberty University). McCusker went 2-5 with two RBI\u2019s and scoring twice. Wagner got on base four times times by going 1-2 with three walks and scoring two times.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Kingfish look to close out the four game homestand on a high note, when they take on the Rockford Rivets on Thursday, June 14th. \u00a0First pitch at Historic Simmons Field is set for 7:05 pm. <\/span><\/p>\n
