MEQUON, Wis. \u2013 The Kenosha Kingfish (2-2) beat the Lakeshore Chinooks (2-2) 7-4 at Kapco Park on Saturday night.<\/p>\n
RHP Keith Kutzler (UW \u2013 Whitewater) started for Kenosha and was awarded the win pitching 6 1\/3 innings. Kutzler allowed four runs on four hits while striking out three and walking five.<\/p>\n
Lakeshore starter RHP Jake Carlsen (Northwestern Ohio) got the loss after he pitched 5 1\/3 innings. Carlsen gave up five runs on seven hits while issuing three walks and striking out three.<\/p>\n
LHP Colton Gordon (Central Florida) picked up his first save of the season pitching 2 2\/3 scoreless innings and allowing three hits.<\/p>\n
Kutzler walked home the first Lakeshore run and allowed the second run to score on a 1B Griffin Doersching (Northern Kentucky) sacrifice fly to centerfield putting the Chinooks up 2-0 at the end of one.<\/p>\n
Kenosha cut Lakeshore\u2019s lead in half 2-1 in the top of the fourth inning on a two out RBI single by SS Jake Cosgrove (UC \u2013 Irvine).<\/p>\n
C Luke Stephenson (Xavier) started the two out rally after a hit by pitch and scored on Cosgrove\u2019s hit.<\/p>\n
In the top of the fifth 1B Nate Thomas (Saint Joseph\u2019s) tied the game 2-2 on his third homerun of the year.<\/p>\n
In the top of the sixth Kenosha took its first lead of the night 3-2 on a bases loaded walk to LF Ethan Owens (Drury).<\/p>\n
Kenosha plated its fourth run on a CF Brendan Hueth (Saint Joseph\u2019s) sacrifice fly to left field that scored 2B Mitchell Buban (UW \u2013 Milwaukee).<\/p>\n
On the second bases loaded walk of the sixth inning Thomas drove in Cosgrove and extended Kenosha\u2019s lead 5-2.<\/p>\n
In the bottom of the sixth LHP Troy Hickey (Madison College) relieved Kutzler and allowed two runs to score on a wild pitch and an RBI single.<\/p>\n
Lakeshore battled back with two runs in the frame cutting the Kingfish lead down 5-4.<\/p>\n
Kenosha tacked on two insurance runs in the top of the ninth inning off two Lakeshore errors.<\/p>\n
Buban drove in the seventh and final Kenosha run of the night on a sacrifice fly to right field that scored 3B Roberto Pe\u00f1a.<\/p>\n
