{"id":8087,"date":"2019-07-18T21:53:53","date_gmt":"2019-07-19T02:53:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/kenosha-kingfish\/?p=8087"},"modified":"2019-07-18T21:53:53","modified_gmt":"2019-07-19T02:53:53","slug":"kingfish-fall-to-rafters-1-0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/kenosha-kingfish\/2019\/07\/18\/kingfish-fall-to-rafters-1-0\/","title":{"rendered":"Kingfish Fall to Rafters 1-0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wisc. \u2013 The Kenosha Kingfish (4-10) lost 1-0 to the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (9-4) on Thursday night at Witter Field.<\/p>\n<p>Rafters starter LHP Gareth Stroh (Nebraska) got the win pitching seven shutout innings with nine strikeouts. Stroh took a perfect game into the fourth inning and a no-hitter into the seventh.<\/p>\n<p>RHP Keith Kutzler (UW \u2013 Whitewater) started for Kenosha and took the loss allowing one run on four hits in six innings pitched.<\/p>\n<p>The Rafters went up 1-0 in the bottom of the second on a two out single and never relinquished the lead.<\/p>\n<p>The Kingfish stranded five base runners in the game including the tying run in the ninth in scoring position.<\/p>\n<p>C Luke Stephenson (Xavier) broke up Stroh\u2019s no-hit bid in the seventh on an infield single.<\/p>\n<p>Stephenson played great defense in the game and threw out two base runners.
