Traverse City, Mi. – <\/b>The Kenosha Kingfish fell to the Traverse City Pit Spitters 5-4 in game one and 6-2 in game two on Thursday night.<\/span><\/p>\n

In game one, Traverse City plated two runs in the first off of a Marshall Toole single that scored Brennen Dorighi and a wild pitch that scored Colin Summerhill. Kenosha replied in the third off of a Parker Stinson RBI groundout that scored Zac Rice to make it 2-1. However, Traverse City got two runs back in the bottom of the third off of a Dorighi double that scored Camden Traficante and a Toole single that scored Dorighi.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Traverse City added one more in the fourth and took a 5-1 lead into the ninth where Kenosha scored three runs courtesy of a Josh Leslie double that scored Taylor Darden and a Jay Beshears fielder\u2019s choice that plated Leslie and Rice, but the comeback fell short as Kenosha dropped the matinee.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Duncan Lutz was credited with the win after throwing five innings allowing one run.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kenosha pitcher Nick Ferazzi was charged with the loss after throwing 6.2 innings conceding five runs. Connor Blake relieved Ferazzi, throwing 1.1 innings of shutout ball.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the nightcap, Kenosha put up the first run of the game in the second inning on a Brady Counsell RBI-groundout that scored Darden. Traverse City responded in the bottom of the second off of a Glenn Miller sacrifice fly that scored Summerhill to tie the game at 1-1. They took the lead in the fourth off of a Toole double that scored Dorighi to make it 2-1. They added on one more in the seventh courtesy of a Trey Truitt RBI-triple that scored Miller. Kenosha responded in the eighth off of a Bobby Atkinson RBI-single that scored Drake Westcott to cut the gap down to 3-2. However, Traverse City added on three in the bottom of the eighth that included a Camden Traficante two-run home run to go up 6-2, which held for the rest of the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan Insco was credited with the win after throwing 2.2 innings allowing zero runs.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kenosha pitcher Bryant Bagshaw was charged with the loss after throwing seven innings conceding six runs. Jake Jakubowski relieved Bagshaw, throwing one inning of shutout ball.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kenosha (9-10) will take on the Traverse City Pit Spitters (14-4) in the series finale on July 29th. The first pitch of game one will be at 7:05 p.m. EST.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
