Nash Knight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<strong>La Crosse, Wis. &#8211;&nbsp;<\/strong>The Loggers welcome Dallas Baptist infielder, Nash Knight, to the Lumberyard this summer. &nbsp;Nash is the brother of Austin Knight, a member of the 2009 Loggers. &nbsp;Nash is the son of Mel and Kathy Knight and is originally from Denton, Texas. &nbsp;Nash is a Kinesiology major. &nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn his sophomore season in 2013, Nash saw action in 57 games, making 54 starts as the everyday shortstop for the Patriots. &nbsp;He hit .259 with one home run, while driving in 19. &nbsp;He tied for second on the team with three triples. &nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tNash has also played the last two summers with the Matsu Miners of the Alaska Baseball League. &nbsp;Last season he hit .149 with 12 runs scored, two doubles and five RBI. &nbsp;In 2012 with the Miners, he hit .231, with three doubles, six RBI and 12 runs.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn his freshman campaign, Knight appeared in 36 games with 25 starts. &nbsp;He hit .206 with four doubles while adding a triple. &nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tNash earned three letters at Billy Ryan High School in Denton, Texas. &nbsp;He was named to the 2011 First-Team All-Area and was selected First-Team All-District and First-Team All-Area during his junior year. &nbsp;As a sophomore, he earned the 2009 District Defensive Player of the Year.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Loggers open their season on Tuesday, May 27 at 7:05 against the Wisconsin Woodchucks at Copeland Park. &nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Crosse, Wis. &#8211;&nbsp;The Loggers welcome Dallas Baptist infielder, Nash Knight, to the Lumberyard this summer. &nbsp;Nash is the brother  [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":17,"featured_media":2253,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[29,40],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2252","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-team-news","category-update-ticker"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v26.5 (Yoast SEO v26.5) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Meet the 2014 Loggers!
