{"id":3162,"date":"2015-09-17T01:45:26","date_gmt":"2015-09-17T01:45:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/la-crosse-loggers\/?p=3162"},"modified":"2015-09-17T01:45:26","modified_gmt":"2015-09-17T01:45:26","slug":"former-logger-trevor-brown-called-up-to-giants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/la-crosse-loggers\/2015\/09\/17\/former-logger-trevor-brown-called-up-to-giants\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Logger Trevor Brown Called up to Giants!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tSan Francisco, CA &#8211; Former La Crosse Logger <a href=\"http:\/\/m.mlb.com\/player\/623143\/trevor-brown?year=2015&amp;stats=career-r-hitting-minors\">Trevor Brown<\/a> (UCLA) became the eleventh former Logger, and the first member off of the 2011 Loggers club, to be called up to the major leagues when the San Francisco Giants selected his contract from the Sacramento River Cats (AAA Affilate) today, September 16.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBrown, a catcher out of UCLA, was hitting .261 with two home runs and 27 RBI&#039;s over 82 games for Sacramento before the call-up.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe right-handed hitting <a href=\"http:\/\/northwoods.bbstats.pointstreak.com\/player.html?playerid=140685&amp;seasonid=504\">Brown<\/a> was a key member of the 2011 La Crosse Loggers when he hit .288 with one home run and 20 RBI&#039;s over 160 at-bats. &nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe San Francisco Giants selected him the 328th pick overall in the tenth round of the 2012 MLB Draft.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBrown joins the ever-growing list of former Loggers to make it to the big leagues that now includes Max Scherzer, Daniel Ray Herrera, Jordan Pacheco, Eric Thames, Brett Jackson, Vic Black,&nbsp;Chris Sale, Rob Brantly, Andrew McKirahan and&nbsp;Scott Alexander.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>San Francisco, CA &#8211; Former La Crosse Logger Trevor Brown (UCLA) became the eleventh former Logger, and the first member  [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":17,"featured_media":3163,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"footnotes":""},"categories":[47,29],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-3162","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-archives","category-team-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v26.5 (Yoast SEO v26.5) - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Former Logger Trevor Brown Called up to Giants!
