\n\tMequon, Wisc. – La Crosse splits the series with Lakeshore and takes the season series over the Chinooks 3 games to 1 with a 4-1 victory in Kapco Park today.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLa Crosse struck first in the 3rd<\/sup> inning. Gavin Johns <\/strong>(UCLA) singled as the leadoff batter. He moved to 3rd<\/sup> base on a groundout and a wild pitch. Justin Wylie <\/strong>(San Diego State) brought him home on a one out double.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Loggers got it going again in the 5th<\/sup> inning. Mason McCoy <\/strong>(Iowa) doubled with an out in the inning. Justin Wylie <\/strong>followed him with a single, moving McCoy <\/strong>to 3rd<\/sup> base. Cullen Large <\/strong>(William & Mary) brought in a run with a ground-rule double. Grant Fennell <\/strong>(Nevada) hit a grounder to the shortstop, who tried to throw out Large <\/strong>from 2nd<\/sup>, but a poor throw allowed Wylie <\/strong>and Large <\/strong>to score, giving La Crosse a 4-0 lead.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMatt Johnson <\/strong>(South Dakota State) hit a solo home run in the 7th<\/sup> for Lakeshore’s only run of the game, but they could not grab any more runs for the rest of the game. Jared Liebelt <\/strong>(Waubonese CC) threw a perfect 9th<\/sup> inning for his 2nd<\/sup> save of the season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tJack Ralston <\/strong>(UCLA) pitched very well in his first start of the season. He threw 5 scoreless innings, giving up only 4 hits. He walked a batter and struck out one as well.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMitch Sewald <\/strong>(TCU) took the loss in his first appearance for Lakeshore (0-1). He lasted 3 innings, giving up a run on 3 hits. He struck out a batter and did not give up any walks.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLa Crosse gets a 3-day break for the All-Star Festivities in Kenosha, Wisc. Mason McCoy <\/strong>(SS, Iowa) and Mitch Stalsberg <\/strong>(LHP, Winona State) will partake in the All-Star Game on Tuesday Night at 7:05. Griffin Conine <\/strong>(OF, Duke) will compete in the Home Run Derby tomorrow night at 6:30.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Loggers will next play in Willmar on Thursday night, July 21st<\/sup>. Game time for that game is 7:05.  \n<\/p>\n
