Loggers baseball is right around the corner! Meanwhile, all over the country incoming 2017 Loggers are leading their respective collegiate teams to success. Here are just a few highlights from the weekend.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Pitchers<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tFeatured in almost every weekend recap thus far, Michael Plassmeyer put on another outstanding performance this weekend. On Saturday, the sophomore LHP earned his fourth win of the year throwing five innings while striking out three and allowing just three earned runs during the win against Alabama.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tOn Sunday, TJ Sikkema earned his third save of the season. In the final 3.1 innings pitched, he struck out five while allowing no runs. This brings his season era to a jaw-dropping 0.33.&nbsp;#23 Missouri has&nbsp;won 19 consecutive games and you can bet Sikkema has played a major role in this record-breaking run.&nbsp;\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tPaul Richan threw 7.2 strong innings on Sunday. He allowed just two runs, five hits, and struck out eight to help&nbsp;#25 San Diego sweep Portland.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tGrant Ford, Nevada&#039;s freshman RHP, took the mound three times this past week. During these three games, he pitched 11.3 innings where he allowed just seven hits, two runs, and struck out six.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tCody Ebert (Columbia), a 6-4 junior from Edmond, Okla., fired only the second no-hitter in Columbia Baseball history over the weekend &ndash; and it was the first no-hitter for Columbia in nearly 40 years. Ebert faced three more than the minimum in the 10-0 victory, and &nbsp;he retired the final 10 men he faced in order. He walked one and hit a batter, but also struck out 13 Morthland College Patriots in firing the first no-hitter for the Cougars since April 2, 1977.\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Positional Players<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tSouth Florida&#039;s sophomore infielder, David Villar, went 2-for-3 on Sunday with three runs scored and a personal-best five RBI. The highlight of this game came in the third inning when he&nbsp;stepped into the box and blasted a grand slam over the right field fence. Villar&#039;s performance helped extend the bulls win streak to 18 games.\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\tAnother weekend of collegiate baseball down and many more to go.
