\n\tLA CROSSE, WI – After being on the road against the Willmar Stingers and losing a close one the night before, the Loggers were hopeful to come away with the victory on their home turf. The game was once again delayed due to rain, but the first pitched was finally fired an hour late at 7:05 PM. The La Crosse Loggers would battle the entire game, but unfortunately the comeback fell short as they recorded the 3-4 loss.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tRHP Nathaniel Garley (New Mexico) started on the mound Saturday night. Thowing 5.0 innings allowing three runs on five hits and, impressively, striking out seven Stingers, this performance would not be enough as Garley would collect the loss. RHP pitchers Grant Judkins (Iowa) and Andrew Owen (Villanova) both pitched 2.0 innings of relief. Stingers pticher, RHP Jake Rothwell, would take care of business and secure the win after 7.0 innings pitched.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe most impressive performance at the plate of the night goes to newcomer, Luke Rasmussen (Long Beach State). Arriving in La Crosse the night before, Rasmussen came ready to play. Playing the role of the designated hitter, he went 1-for-3 with two RBI thanks to a two-run blast over left-center fence in the bottom of the eighth inning.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Loggers will now host a two-game series against the Bismarck Larks. Sunday's first pitch is set for 5:05 PM and gates will open at 4:00 PM.
