If your idea is selected as the team name, you will receive 2 Covered Box Seat Season Tickets to the 2024 Season and an opportunity to throw out a ceremonial 1st Pitch on a Date: TBD, 2024 season.
La Crosse Legacy – La Crosse is the first women’s summer collegiate softball team announced as part of Northwoods League softball. We are ready to be a part of a legacy in the making.
La Crosse Velocity – Whether it’s the great Mississippi river or the fastpitch softball on the field, velocity can be used for a variety of different meanings.
La Crosse Steam – Steamboats are an intertwined in the history of La Crosse. Symbols of steamboats are still seen throughout La Crosse whether it is the directional signage downtown, banners on the lights on the Northside, symbol in the city logo, or the Julia Belle Swain docked right near the field.
La Crosse Cruisers – On the banks of the Mississippi, the La Crosse area has a variety of opportunities for water recreation including “cruising” down the river. With the park nestled right on the water, this name would play homage to the active river we see every day.
La Crosse Maple Leafs – Maybe it’s the yearly Maple Leaf parade for Oktoberfest, or maybe it’s the maple trees throughout the region. This name ties in local events with the foliage we see in our backyard.

Submission/Contest Rules:
- If the winning name is submitted by more than one person, the winning submission will be randomly selected by a drawing held by the La Crosse Softball management.
- All information must be accurate in order to qualify.
- One entry per email address.
- La Crosse Softball management reserves the right to market, develop and use in commerce, any name submitted by a contestant.
