{"id":35231,"date":"2024-11-08T16:01:18","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T16:01:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/la-crosse-steam\/?p=35231"},"modified":"2024-11-08T16:01:18","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T16:01:18","slug":"brandi-alonzo-returning-for-2nd-season-as-new-head-coach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/la-crosse-steam\/2024\/11\/08\/brandi-alonzo-returning-for-2nd-season-as-new-head-coach\/","title":{"rendered":"Brandi Alonzo Returning for 2nd Season as New Head Coach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Brandi Alonzo Returning for 2nd Season as New Head Coach<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brandi Alonzo named as Head Coach for the La Crosse Steam<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">LA CROSSE, WI \u2013 After being a part of the La Crosse Steam\u2019s inaugural coaching staff, Brandi Alonzo returns for her second season but this time as the head coach, team officials announced today.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the Steam\u2019s inaugural season, Alonzo served as one of the team&#8217;s assistant coaches. \u201cBeing a part of the Northwoods softball Inaugural season was such an amazing experience this past year,\u201d Brandi notes, \u201cand having the opportunity to be back with the Steam this season is something I am extremely grateful for and I am excited to have the chance to coach some familiar faces from last season and bring in some new athletes to the Steam family.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brandi also mentioned that she is \u201cexcited to see how much the league will grow this year and continue to add new Steam fans.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Brandi Alonzo joined the Viterbo V-Hawks in 2015 and in her first year she doubled the team\u2019s wins only to double it again in the following year. As a coach she has a total of 104 victories. As a student-athlete, Alonzo attended the University of Southern Mississippi where she received a full scholarship to play softball.
