Grafton, WI – The Chinooks are bringing back two former players for the 2021 season as Connor Kimple<\/strong> (Louisiana Lafayette) and Nathan Aide<\/strong> (Illinois) are set to return to Lakeshore.<\/p>\n

Connor Kimple (OF\/Jr.<\/strong>) will return for a third season with the Chinooks after a few seasons away from Lakeshore due to injury in 2019 and a cancelled season in 2020. During his shortened 2020 season with Louisiana Lafeyette, Kimple played in 13 games, hit .283, and led the team in hits with 15. In 17 games this season, he has already hit 4 home runs and has driven in 7 RBI\u2019s. Kimple will continue to be an everyday starter for the Rajin\u2019 Cajuns leading up to his summer in Lakeshore.<\/p>\n

Nathan Aide (OF\/Jr.<\/strong>) also brings a great amount of NWL and Chinooks experience, having played for the Kenosha Kingfish in 2018 and the Lakeshore Chinooks in 2019. During the 2019 season, Aide was selected by league scouts to participate in the Major League Dreams Showcase which displays the league\u2019s best talent. The Franklin, WI native hit .276 in the shorted 2020 season with Illinois while also holding the third highest slugging percentage on the team. Illinois recently opened their season with Aide starting in left field while currently hitting .300 in 4 games played.<\/p>\n

Baseball is back at Kapco Park! The 2021 season is presented by Port Washington State Bank<\/a> (Member FDIC) with the home opener set for June 3rd<\/sup> at 6:35pm against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. Season and group tickets are currently on sale with single game tickets available for purchase at the end of April.<\/p>\n

The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Having completed its\u2019 27th<\/sup>\u00a0season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 22 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, over 245 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist (CHC) and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and World Series Champion Chris Sale (BOS). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and MLB All-Star Jordan Zimmermann (MIL). All league games are viewable live via the Northwoods League website.
