After Andrew Waszak (Michigan State) delivered a strong start in a big win on Wednesday, the Chinooks looked to carry momentum into game two of a home and home series with the Green Bay Bullfrogs. <\/p>\n
Green Bay had other ideas as they pounded out fifteen hits en route to a 15-6 massacre of the Chinooks <\/p>\n
Things got off to a good start for Lakeshore when both Charlie Markson (Notre Dame) and German Reyes (Winston Salem State) reached base to open the game. <\/span>Markson would score on Bre’ Kimbell’s (Louisiana Tech) check swing bunt, giving the Chinooks the early 1-0 advantage. <\/p>\n The Bullfrogs came right back against starter Josh Uhen (UWM) who struggled to find his location early. <\/span>Back to back singles opened the inning, followed by a wild pitch, allowing the tying run to score. <\/span>Green Bay would add another on a sacrifice fly to jump in front 2-1. <\/p>\n Uhen was able swim out of trouble in the first inning, but Green Bay made sure not to let him off the hook in the second. <\/span>A single and a walk started the inning, then the Bullfrogs opened the floodgates. <\/span>An error by Nate Ruzich (South Suburban) loaded the bases with nobody out. <\/span>Another single gave Green Bay the lead back at 3-2. <\/span> <\/p>\n With the bases still loaded, Uhen walked the next hitter to force home a run. <\/span>A sacrifice fly and a two-run home run by Justin Seager plated the sixth run of the inning, giving the Bullfrogs the 8-2 Advantage. <\/p>\n Matt Morse (Alabama-Birmingham) would be summoned to try his hand at stopping the scorching Green Bay attack in the third. <\/span>He did not fare any better.
