The award has been given out to the player at each position who had the best batting average during the 2012 season. To be eligible for the award, a player needs enough plate appearances to qualify for a batting title.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Aguilera ended up with a .369 batting average before falling victim of a season ending injury shortly after the Northwoods League All-Star Game. Other recipients of the annual award were C <strong>Paul Karmeris<\/strong> <em>(Duluth)<\/em>, 1B <strong>Michael Suchy<\/strong> <em>(Willmar)<\/em>, 2B <strong>Tanner Vavra<\/strong> <em>(Alexandria)<\/em>, 3B <strong>Brendon Hayden<\/strong> <em>(Wisconsin)<\/em>, <strong>Brett Kay<\/strong> <em>(Thunder Bay)<\/em>, OF <strong>James Ramsey<\/strong> <em>(Duluth)<\/em>, OF <strong>Justin Parr<\/strong> <em>(Rochester)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:11.0pt;line-height:115%;font-family:Calibri;mso-ascii-theme-font:\nminor-latin;mso-fareast-font-family:Calibri;mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-latin;\nmso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-bidi-font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;;\nmso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;mso-ansi-language:EN-US;mso-fareast-language:\nEN-US;mso-bidi-language:AR-SA\">The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other summer collegiate baseball league in North America.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chinooks outfielder Eric Aguilera has been given Rawling&rsquo;s annual &ldquo;Big Stick&rdquo; award for his high batting average.
