\n\tThe Lakeshore Chinooks have signed three players from Wisconsin high schools who will return home to play during the 2014 summer. Evan Kruczynski <\/strong>(East Carolina), Luke Meeteer <\/strong>(UW-Milwaukee), and Ryan Radue <\/strong>(Connecticut) have been added to the roster.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tEvan Kruczynski<\/strong> spent his high school days pitching for Franklin High School. The 6’5” lefty will return home after his debut season with East Carolina where he is expected to compete for innings on the highly rated Pirates’ staff. At Franklin, Evan helped Coach Jim Hughes and the Sabers to 90 wins over a four-year period and a pair of Wisconsin State Summer Championships (2010-11).  Following his senior campaign, Kruczynski was listed as the top left-hander and the overall No. 3 prospect in the state of Wisconsin by Perfect Game. Throwing in the high 80’s, Kruczynski earned a reputation in the state as a high strikeout pitcher.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLuke Meeteer <\/strong>hails from Middleton, WI and will return to the Northwoods League after his junior season with the Milwaukee Panthers. The speedy, 5’11” outfielder will excel on the fast turf at KAPCO Park. Meeteer was selected 2nd<\/sup> Team All-Horizon League after hitting .285 and finishing second in the league in stolen bases with 18. This season, Luke was named to the Horizon League preseason all-conference team and was ranked by Baseball America as the No. 9 rated pro prospect in the league.  Meeteer hit  .515 during his all-state senior year at Middleton where he also excelled as a strong safety on the football team and even committed to play for the Badgers on the gridiron before suffering a back injury that stalled his football career. Chinooks fans will witness his speed and quickness after the end of the Panthers’ season in the Horizon League.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tRyan Radue<\/strong> from Appleton, WI and Fox Valley Lutheran High School faced nine batters before red-shirting his freshman season for the Connecticut Huskies. The 6’5” right-handed pitcher bulked up during the past year and hopes to add depth to UConn’s bullpen this season. Ryan played three seasons of varsity baseball for head coach Dave Kolander at FVLHS and earned unanimous Conference MVP honors and set school records for innings pitched, strikeouts in a season, and wins in a season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Chinooks are excited to welcome these three back to the area and to provide a terrific opportunity for friends, family, and fans of local prep baseball to keep up with their progress.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKapco Park will play host to this year’s Northwoods League All-Star Game on July 22, 2014. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including MLB All-Stars Max Scherzer (DET), Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYY), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
