\n\tThe Lakeshore Chinooks, beginning their third season of play this summer, are seeking help from the community. This summer, 30-40 college baseball players from around the country will move to our area to play for the Chinooks at Kapco Park on the campus of Concordia University Wisconsin. These players will live with host families during the season from late May to mid-August.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Host Family Program is an important part of the Chinooks success. These players are moving to a new city for the summer, and host families make them feel at home. Host families provide a room for the player, breakfast and lunch when the team is in town, and sometimes transportation to and from the ballpark.  The team plays 36 home games over a 75 day season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“Host families help us take care of these players. The families help our players feel like they are at home,” says Chad Bauer, Lakeshore Chinooks Assistant General Manager. “The players become role models, and the host families’ children really look up to the players.”\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Host Family Program benefits the families as well as the players, as they often become more than just a guest; they become a part of the family. And you never know; you may just be getting to know a future pro! Become a host family, and GET HOOKED!\n<\/p>\n
