In three innings, he gave up two runs on three hits. He also struck out four.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em\">Chinooks right-fielder <strong>Aaron Huesman<\/strong> (Dayton) led off the bottom of the third with a walk. He scored on a misplay to first base. Center fielder <strong>Luke Meeter<\/strong> (UW-Milwaukee) scored in the inning as well.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em\"><strong>Zack Bowers<\/strong> (UGA) drove in <strong>Kyle Wood<\/strong> (Purdue) in the fifth. His triple gave the Chinooks the lead, 3-2. Lakeshore also scored in the seventh on a walk.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em\">Righty <strong>G.J. Strauss<\/strong>, a product of Florida Tech University, received the win in relief of Jones. In five innings, he surrendered two hits and had no walks. He struck out six MoonDog batters. <strong>Luke Lowery <\/strong>(Southern Mississippi) pitched the ninth and recorded a save.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em\">Mankato starter Jake Jenkins (0-1, 3.37 ERA) suffered the loss. He gave up three runs on four hits in five and one-third innings of work.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"line-height: 1.6em\">The Chinooks and MoonDogs meet again tomorrow at Kapco Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em>The Lakeshore Chinooks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (DET) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
