\n\tThis week the Lakeshore Chinooks will hit the 100,000 fan mark at Kapco Park.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSince their inaugural 2012 season, Kapco Park has been the home of the Chinooks. The 100,000 fan will likely pass through its gates on Friday, June 6 or Saturday, June 7.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2012, Lakeshore had a total attendance of 46,274. The next season the team had 48,733 fans pass through the entrance gates. These numbers reflect two playoff games in 2013 as well as the regular season games.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBased on these records, Kapco Park is 5,267 fans away from hitting 100,000 fans.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 100,000 fan will receive an autographed Robin Yount item, four all-star game tickets, four Chinooks tickets, and a first pitch opportunity. The fan will also be recognized on the field the same date the mark occurs.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Chinooks return home for a four-game homestand on Wednesday, June 4. \n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Lakeshore Chinooks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (DET) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
