\n\tThe Lakeshore Chinooks notched their seventh consecutive victory on Wednesday.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBrett Siddall <\/strong>(Canisius) drew a leadoff walk by Kyle Slack in the tenth inning. Pinch-runner Jake Noll <\/strong>(Florida Gulf Coast) advanced to second on a wild pitch. He also stole third base, and then scored on a wild pitch Slack. The Chinooks won the contest, 3-2.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t“To be honest with you, I wasn’t really thinking too much, just trying to get a good jump,” Noll said. “I noticed that he was one looking at second base, and I just took off.”\n<\/p>\n

\n\tStarting pitching for both Lakeshore and Battle Creek was excellent.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tArkansas Razorback James Teague <\/strong>started his fifth game for the Chinooks. He went six and one-third innings. He gave up two runs off six hits. Teague also recorded six strikeouts.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFor his performance, Teague was named the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night for the second time this season\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBattle Creek starter Joe Mockbee tossed seven, one-hit innings. He gave up two runs, walked three and struck out two.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe left-hander Mockbee took a no-hitter into sixth. Sawyer Polen <\/strong>(Kent State) drew a leadoff walk. Left fielder Michael Morman <\/strong>(Valparaiso) advanced on a fielder’s choice and Polen reached third on an error. Brant Valach <\/strong>(Eastern Illinois) got the Chinooks’ first hit of the game, a two-RBI single.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the seventh, the Bombers responded and tied the game. The righty Teague gave up back-to-back hits to Henri Latrigue and Justin Stawychny. Both scored on a single by second baseman Sebastian Diaz.  \n<\/p>\n

\n\tSouthpaw Jake Tuttle <\/strong>(UW-Milwaukee) continued to shine for the Chinooks. In two and two-thirds innings, he surrendered no hits. He issued two walks and struck out three. Tuttle struck out both Spencer Thornton and Laz Rivera swinging to get out of a jam in the seventh.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tRight-hander Alden Cartwright pitched two scoreless innings for the Bombers. He also struck out three Lakeshore hitters.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAndrew Elliott <\/strong>(Wright State) picked up his second win in relief. In one inning, he had one strikeout.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe righty Slack (2-3) got his third loss of the season.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe La Crosse Loggers come to Kapco Park on Thursday (6:35 p.m.) and Friday (7:05 p.m.). The team will travel to play at Green Bay on Saturday and Sunday. They have the day off on Monday, July 14, before starting a four-game home stand.\n<\/p>\n
