The team lost game two of the series, 8-6.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOffensively, the team was led by <strong>Kyle Wood <\/strong>(Purdue). He went 3-5 and scored two runs. Also, <strong>Brant Valach <\/strong>(Eastern Illinois) and <strong>Ryan Krill <\/strong>(Michigan State) drove in two runs each.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFor the Bullfrogs, first baseman Ryan Koziol went 3-3, scored two runs and had two RBI.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tGreen Bay jumped on the Chinooks lefty <strong>Will Headean <\/strong>(Illinois) early. In the first, Johnny Bekakis drew a walk. Designated-hitter Ryan Howell hit a two-run homer to left field. Ryan Koziol also had a base hit and scored on a Franco Guardascione single. The Bullfrogs led 3-0.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn the third, the Bullfrogs increased their lead. The left-hander Headean hit Ryan Howell to start the inning. The first baseman Koziol then got another basehit. Howell scored on Guardascione&rsquo;s second hit of the game. Koziol also came across on a single by Brian Celsi.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLakeshore cut away the Green Bay lead in the fourth. Designated-hitter <strong>Kyle Wood <\/strong>led off with a double off Luke Watson. <strong>Brant Valach <\/strong>had an RBI single. Center fielder <strong>Michael Morman <\/strong>(Richmond) also had an RBI double in the inning. &nbsp;The Bullfrogs led 5-2.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRyan Koziol got his third hit in the fourth. Paul Jacobson and Ryan Howell scored on his two-run double off right-hander <strong>Mike Letkewicz<\/strong> (Augustana College). &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\">Valach led off the sixth with a walk of Dan Becks. The Chinooks first baseman Krill then hit a single. The pair scored on a two-run base hit by <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\">Sawyer Polen <\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 13px;line-height: 1.6em\">(Kent State). They trailed 7-4.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLakeshore also scored two runs in the seventh. <strong>Brett Siddall <\/strong>(Canisius) and <strong>Kyle Wood<\/strong> hit back-to-back singles off Justin Mullins. With no outs, Mullins was replaced by fellow righty Sam Brunner. Morman drew an RBI walk and Siddall scored. <strong>Ryan Krill <\/strong>also had a sacrifice fly to left in the inning. The Chinooks trailed 7-6.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSouthpaw <strong>Connor Jones <\/strong>(Georgia) walked Kyle Lewis to begin the eighth frame. Lewis scored on a single by Johnny Bekakis. The score was 8-6, Green Bay.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe righty Headean (0-1) got his first loss of the season. In three innings, he gave up five runs off seven hits.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Chase Radan<\/strong> (UCLA) and <strong>Ryan Radue<\/strong> (Connecticut) combined for three shutout innings.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRight-hander Josh Glick (1-1) picked up the win in relief of starter Luke Watson.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Chinooks have the day off on Monday, July 14, before starting a four-game home stand. Lakeshore will take on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and Green Bay Bullfrogs.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<em>The Lakeshore Chinooks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
