\n\tMequon, WI –The Lakeshore Chinooks have announced the additions of two more pitchers for Eddy Morgan’s 2015 pitching staff. Right-handed hurlers Sam Burum <\/strong>(Seton Hall) and Lake Bachar<\/strong> (UW-Whitewater) will bring their best to Mequon to square off against some of the best hitters in college baseball.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSam Burum <\/strong>is a 6’5 junior pitcher who owns a perfect 7-0 record–mostly out of the bullpen–in his three seasons for the Seton Hall Pirates. The native of Robbinsdale, NJ is 2-0 with a 2.38 ERA in his third collegiate season, striking out 23 batters in 35 innings of work. For his career, the productive Burum has notched a career ERA of 2.83 in 94 innings of work.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLake Bachar <\/strong>will fill the spot of Warhawk teammate Austin Jones, who was slated to return to Lakeshore prior to an elbow injury that ended his season. Bachar stepped in as a freshman starter for the defending D-III National Champion Warhawks with a 6-1 record and 2.63 ERA in 51.1 innings of work as the Warhawks once again have advanced to the NCAA tournament. Bachar, a native of Wheaton, IL, played both baseball and football for Wheaton North High School.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tYou can catch your first glimpse of the 2015 Chinooks roster on May 28th<\/sup> when Lakeshore takes on the Kenosha Kingfish at 6:35pm. The first 1,000 fans will receive a 2014 championship pennant (courtesy of Port Washington State Bank) and a 2015 magnet schedule (courtesy of Professional Supply). On Opening Day, there will also be a special pre-game championship celebrate. The championship celebration week will continue on Saturday, May 30th<\/sup> with Championship Trophy Gill bobblehead for the first 1,000 fans (sponsored by GS Design).\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Lakeshore Chinooks are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd<\/sup> season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (BOS) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
