\n\tKenosha, WI – The Chinooks were well represented this past week during the All-Star Game festivities in Kenosha. On Monday, Matt Johnson<\/strong> (South Dakota State) participated in the Home Run Derby at the Harbor, and he was able to contribute three home runs as the South Division topped the North to win the team title. Then on Tuesday, Keenan Bartlett<\/strong> (Richmond), Tim DalPorto<\/strong> (Kent State), and Marshall Kasowski<\/strong> (Houston) represented the Chinooks on the South Division roster in the NWL All-Star Game. All three All-Stars saw action in the field, but the South Division was unable to match the North’s seven runs in the first inning, falling in the end by a score of 9-5.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMarshall Kasowski was brought into the game out of the bullpen in the top of the fifth. After giving up a lead off single to St. Cloud’s Luke Rnghofer (South Dakota State), Kasowski was able to settle down and get out of the inning unscathed, recording one strikeout to cap off his inning of work.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTim DalPorto was substituted as a pinch hitter for Kalamazoo’s Nick Hutchins (Southern Illinois) in the bottom of the fifth, later taking over defensively for Hutchins behind the plate for the South. DalPorto made three plate appearances in the game but failed to record a hit, but did reach base on an error.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKeenan Bartlett took over on the bump for Kasowski in the top of the sixth. Bartlett pitched well in his 1.1 innings of work, allowing only one run, which was unearned, on one hit with two strikeouts and one walk.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Chinooks return to action on Thursday, hitting the road to face off against the Wisconsin Woodchucks in game one of a two game series starting at 6:35 pm.\n<\/p>\n
