\n\tWausau, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks (3-6) fell to the Wisconsin Woodchucks 5-4, marking the Chinooks’ fifth straight loss.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tChinooks’ newcomer Drake Lubin (Eastern Michigan) led off the game with an infield single and was later driven in by a Zach Biermann (Polk State) single to give the Chinooks the early 1-0 lead. Biermann returned to the Lakeshore lineup after sitting out last night’s game due to getting hit in the helmet by a pitch the day before.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tThe Woodchucks struck back quickly in the bottom of the 1st<\/sup>, starting with a Nolan Ryan double. Dalton Reed later doubled in Ryan, tying the game at 1.\n<\/p>\n \n\tHitting the first homer of the night for the Woodchucks was Andrew Kendrick, who drove in Chad Fleischman after he walked to lead off the bottom of the 3rd<\/sup> inning. The long shot was Kendrick’s third home run of the season, and gave Wisconsin a 3-1 advantage.\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe Chinooks wasted no time to cut into the lead of Wisconsin, as Jacob Richardson (Southern Arkansas) led off the top of the 4th<\/sup> with a double. After Richardson advanced to third base, Caleb Dean (Lamar) grounded out, but was able to score Richardson on the play and cut the lead of the Woodchucks to just one. Later in the inning, Brian Sobieski (Davenport) hit a rocket back up the middle and recorded his first base hit of the season.\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe Chinooks were able to fight all the way back from a 3-1 deficit and take the lead in the top of the 5th<\/sup>. Drake Lubin led off the inning with a single and later came around to score on a Kody Matthews (Marshall) RBI single to tie the game at 3. Chinooks’ newest player Nick Gatewood (Georgia State) later singled to bring home Matthews and put Lakeshore up 4-3.\n<\/p>\n
