\n\t \n<\/p>\n
\n\tMequon, WI- Play between the Lakeshore Chinooks and the Battle Creek Bombers has been suspended due to weather. When play stopped, the Bombers were leading the Chinooks, 5-0, in the top of the 4th<\/sup> inning.\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe Bombers would jump out to the early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st<\/sup> inning, thanks to a Tom Stoffel RBI double that was smoked into the left-center gap. Alex Howard, who singled right before the Stoffel double, came around to score, giving the Bombers the early advantage. The Chinooks looked to strike back in the bottom of the 1st<\/sup>, as Lakeshore loaded the bases, but Bombers’ starter, Andrew Click, was able to get out of the inning unscathed.\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe top of the 2nd<\/sup> featured the Bombers adding 4 more runs to their lead. Chinooks’ starter, Zach Spears (Miami-Ohio), loaded up the bases and ended up walking Alex Howard, which brought home Winston Welch from 3rd<\/sup>. Later in the inning, another Bomber had an opportunity with the bases loaded, with Tom Stoffel coming to the plate.\n<\/p>\n \n\tStoffel cashed in on this golden opportunity, clearing the bases on a double, scoring Alec Trela, Nikola Vasic, and Alex Howard. Stoffel was thrown out trying to stretch the double into a triple, but the damage was already done, plating 3 runs, giving the Bombers a commanding 5-0 lead.\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe game will conclude the next time the Battle Creek Bombers visit Kapco Park on August 10th. The game will resume at 3:30pm with the originally scheduled game starting at it's intended time of 6:35pm or 30 minutes following the first game. Game 2 will be a 7 inning contest.\n<\/p>\n \n\tFans with tickets from the June 22nd game can redeem their tickets for the scheduled make-up game or any remaining regular season home game.
