By Nick Campe <\/span><\/p>\n Kenosha, WI\u2014 The Chinooks headed to Kenosha to play two seven-inning games to make up a rain-out last week. <\/span><\/p>\n In game one, the Chinooks had a comeback 6-3 win, but in game two, the Kingfish walked them off with a 2-1 victory. <\/span><\/p>\n Konnor Ash took the hill for game one, and only allowed 2 earned runs and striking out six over five innings, earning his 2nd win of the season. <\/span><\/p>\n After five stagnant innings, the Chinooks offense came alive with a four-run sixth thanks to Cole Turney and Jack Dunn<\/span><\/p>\n With the bases loaded, Turney launched a two-RBI double down the left field line, plating Ronald Sweeny and Christian Boulware to tie things at 2.<\/span><\/p>\n Then, Dunn added on with a two-RBI single of his own to give Lakeshore a 4-2 lead. <\/span><\/p>\n Turney added some more insurance in the seventh with his second two-RBI double of the day to make it 6-2 in favor of the Chinooks. <\/span><\/p>\n Griffin Dey also provided a nice spark in the middle of the order, finishing 3-4 with one run scored. <\/span><\/p>\n Joe Gahm held onto the lead the offense gave him, finishing the final two innings only allowing one hit and earning his second save.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In game two, despite Kevin Tibor\u2019s two earned runs over 6.2 innings, the offense struggled with only one hit and one run behind him. <\/span><\/p>\n Tied 1-1 in the seventh inning, Tibor trotted to try and take the game into extra innings. <\/span><\/p>\n He easily disposed of Jack Weileer to lead things off, getting him to ground out, but ran into trouble after a Ben Troike single and Cade Cabbiness double. <\/span><\/p>\n Cabbiness almost ended the game with his double, but the searing line drive he hit over the head of Turney in left field one-hopped into the first row of the outfield stands. <\/span><\/p>\n With runners on second and third, Tibor kept his same calm demeanor on the mound and produced one of the best pitches of the summer. <\/span><\/p>\n On a 2-2 count, he struck out Nick Elsen\u2014his first strikeout of the night\u2014and almost got out of the jam. <\/span><\/p>\n But Bryce Carter, apparently, didn’t want to play any more baseball today. The Stanford catcher found a hole on the right side of the infield, just past the diving glove of Jim Govern, for a walk-off single. <\/span><\/p>\n It was a heck of a debut for Carter, who arrived late last night after a long all day car ride. <\/span><\/p>\n Lakeshore heads to Kalamazoo tomorrow for a two-game road trip. Jacob Lindemann will take the mound looking to get the Chinooks back in win column. <\/span><\/p>\n SIDE NOTE FROM LUIS: Luis Ferrer sat perfectly.
