Since the team\u2019s founding in 2012, the Lakeshore Chinooks have produced 82 MLB Draft picks or free agent signings.\u00a0 The team upped the number of players selected or signed in 2015 to seventeen.\u00a0 Seven of them remain in the pros with three of them joining Chinook alums Zack Granite and Brian Anderson on major league rosters during 2018 and head into the 2019 spring training season with high hopes of establishing themselves at the major league level.\u00a0 Here is a recap of where each of them stands:<\/p>\n

Harrison Bader\/OF\/Florida\/Lakeshore 2013\/2015 STL Cardinals – 3rd<\/sup> Round<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"After breaking the hearts of Milwaukee Brewer fans with a game-winning RBI that ended the Brewers\u2019 season in 2017, Bader was quickly recalled by the Cardinals in 2018 and played for the club in 138 games.\u00a0 The speedy outfielder responded by hitting .264 with twelve home runs and 37 RBI, along with fifteen stolen bases, and for his efforts was named to the 2018 National League All-Rookie team and was honored as the MLPAA Heart & Hustle Award winner<\/a>, along with being recognized as a rising defensive star <\/a>.\u00a0 Bader rose quickly through the St. Louis organization as he rose quickly to AAA Memphis in his second season and then was called up during his second season there.\u00a0 Showing big league power, Bader hit 19 home runs in 2016 and then twenty more in 2017.\u00a0 He has collected all-star selections in the Texas League as well as the coveted Arizona Fall League.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Eric Hanhold\/P\/Florida\/Lakeshore 2013\/2015 MIL Brewers – 6th<\/sup> Round<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Hanhold battled numerous injuries in his minor league career with the Brewers and things grew cloudier as he was dealt to the New York Mets in a late 2017 trade in which the Brewers acquired 2B Neal Walker and he was named as the \u201cplayer to be named later.\u201d\u00a0 Hanhold had posted good numbers with the High A Carolina Mudcats, posting an 8-3 record in 61 innings before being dealt.\u00a0 Hanhold adjusted to a new organization and battled an oblique strain through much of 2018 with 57 strikeouts in 49.1 innings at four minor league teams, before a late season call up came from the Mets as they restructured late in the season.\u00a0 Hanhold made three appearances with a 7.71 ERA in 2.1 innings.\u00a0 With a spot on the Mets\u2019 40-Man roster, Hanhold will battle for a more permanent spot at the major league level but will need to stay healthy to do it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Andrew Stevenson\/OF\/LSU\/Lakeshore 2013\/2015 WAS Nationals – 2nd<\/sup> Round<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"After making his major league debut with the Nationals in July of 2017, Stevenson has bounced between Washington and their AAA affiliate, the Syracuse Chiefs.\u00a0 Prior to 2017 Stevenson excelled with in the lower levels earning all-star appearances in 2016 & 2017, even earning the top star of the 2017 Carolina League All-Star Game.\u00a0 His participation in the 2016 Arizona Fall League, where he impressed with his hustling style, set the stage for his big-league promotion and carved a niche for him as a late-inning replacement and transitional player as the Nationals suffered injuries the past two years.\u00a0 After 37 MLB games in 2017, Stevenson played 57 in several stints with Washington, while also playing 77 games at Syracuse.\u00a0 Stevenson will look to improve his 2018 batting average of .253 as he once again looks to advance to the majors.<\/p>\n
