In 2014, the Mallards initiated, at the urging of a longtime fan and host family, a fan participation program that has allowed fans on the field as uniformed participants by handling foul balls down the left and right field lines and handing them to children in the stands. They added value to an already great game day experience plus the fun the participants had was overwhelming.

The Fowliner program is pattened after the San Francisco Giants Ball Dude/Ball Dudette program which has been in place for over 20 years. This program is open to those over 60 years old. The Mallards have 9 people commit to 8 games a summer. As a member of the fowliner, you will also receive a team uniform and hat.

If interested in becoming part of the Fowliners please fill out the online form by clicking here. Dick Anderson, who has organized and ran the program since 2014, will then contact you. All applications for the 2017 program need to be returned by December 15, 2016. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Dick by phone (608-447-0530) or email at richarda5002@gmail.com.
