\n\tThe Madison Mallards (5-5, 24-21) will look to continue their winning ways tonight on the road facing the Kenosha Kingfish (5-4, 27-17). The Mallards are coming off a split series with the Lakeshore Chinooks (6-4, 24-21) with a 10-0 win last night in Mequon.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tYesterday, the Mallards dominated every phase of the game against the Chinooks. Madison received offensive production up and down the lineup, with six Mallards hitters recording multi-hit games. Among the 13 Madison hits, catcher Brock Weimer (SIU-Edwardsville) brought home the first runs of the game with a blast over the wall in left field, and Cade Bunnell (Indiana) blasted a bases-clearing double to right field.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tLast night, pitchers Simon Rosenblum-Larson (Harvard) and Matt McCarty (Louisville) held Lakeshore to only two hits. Starter Matt Horkey (UNC-Charlotte) will try and follow up the strong pitching performance last night with his seventh start of the year today against the Kingfish. The crafty left-hander has struck out 19 and only walked five through 32.1 innings so far this season. On the year, Horkey owns a 2-2 record with a 3.34 ERA.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Mallards have now cranked four home runs in the last three games. All four have come from different hitters. Among the four taters, Zac Taylor (Illinois) and Cole Daily (Notre Dame) both hit their first of the year, Doran Turchin (Illinois) yanked is ninth, and Brock Weimer hit his second of the season.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tRound Two<\/b>\n<\/p>\n
\n\tMadison starter Matt Horkey has seen the Kingfish before. In a July 3rd<\/sup> outing, Horkey tossed a solid five innings and gave up two runs off six hits while striking out four. Madison would go on to lose that contest 3-4.\n<\/p>\n \n\tEven Split<\/b>\n<\/p>\n \n\tThe last time these two teams met was a four-game series that featured a doubleheader. Madison took the first two games by close margins, and then were edged out in the final two games by the Kingfish. Three of four games were decided by one run and one game was decided by two.\n<\/p>\n \n\tA Familiar Face<\/b>\n<\/p>\n \n\tLogan Wiley, a sophomore from Missouri State, will start on the mound for Kenosha. Wiley is 3-0 on the year with a 2.80 ERA. The right-hander threw three innings against Madison back on July 3rd<\/sup> and gave up six hits and three earned runs in three innings.\n<\/p>\n \n\tTonight’s game is set to get underway at 6:35 PM at Simmons Field Park. The Mallards return home on Sunday, July 16th<\/sup> for the second game of the series against the Kenosha Kingfish.
