The Mallards added righties Leon Hunter (North Carolina A&amp;T) and Cole O\u2019Connor (Dartmouth). Both pitchers will head to the Duck Pond with plenty of collegiate experience and will contribute to a deep Madison pitching staff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hunter, a 6-foot-3 junior from Garner, North Carolina, has been a consistent innings-eater for the Aggies at N.C. A&amp;T during his first two seasons. In 2017, Hunter made 15 appearances and held a 2.95 ERA through 21.1 innings on the bump. He allowed only 6 extra base hits and allowed opposing batters to hit only .241 against him. Hunter will give the Mallards another experienced option on the mound.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">O\u2019Connor, a 6-foot-4 junior out of Bedford, Massachusetts, is another lengthy righty. O\u2019Connor has been primarily used as a starter during his first two seasons with the Big Green. The junior has made 17 starts and holds a career 4-4 record while posting a 3.74 ERA. O\u2019Connor has shown the ability to control the strike zone as he has racked up 52 career strikeouts and has issued only 25 free passes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hunter and O\u2019Connor join an experienced Mallards pitching staff that features many quality, veteran arms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Madison Mallards group and season ticket packages are now on sale.
