Madison, WI \u2013 June 18, 2012. The Madison Mallards (9-10) will head north to start a three game series with the Green Bay Bullfrogs (10-9). First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.<\/p>\n

On Sunday the Mallards delivered a Father\u2019s Day win in front of a crowd of 6,482 at the \u201cDuck Pond\u201d, beating the Lakeshore Chinooks (9-10) 9-3.<\/p>\n

The Mallards got a big game from catcher \u00a0Mike Ruevekamp<\/a> \u00a0(California), who delivered the key hit in the eighth inning with a bases clearing three RBI double into the left field gap. The RBIs were his first since a June 2nd<\/sup> 10-4 loss to the La Crosse Loggers (14-5), and his first multi-RBI game of the season.<\/p>\n

Right-hander \u00a0Matt LaMothe<\/a> \u00a0(Georgia State) will start for the Mallards. LaMothe (2-1) was a hard luck loser in his last start, giving up two runs and six hits over 6.0 innings in a 4-0 loss to the Wisconsin Woodchucks (8-11). The loss came despite racking up nine strikeouts, his highest total of the season. Through three starts the Troy, Michigan native has carried a 2.12 ERA.<\/p>\n

On the mound for the Bullfrogs is left-hander Christian Cecilio (San Francisco). Cecilio has been mainly used as a relief pitcher this season, in three appearances his longest outing has been 2.0 innings. His last appearance was a start against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (10-9), only pitching 1.0 inning and giving up one run and two hits in a 5-4 win over the Rafters.<\/p>\n

Cecilio has already made one appearance against the Mallards this season, pitching 2.0 innings of relief in the Bullfrogs 2-1 loss to the Mallards on June 6th<\/sup>. During his appearance the lefty did not allow a run and struck out two.<\/p>\n

The Bullfrogs will be looking for payback after the last two teams met earlier this season. The Mallards were able to steal the series opener on the road 2-1 and then win the rubber match 4-1 to take the series.<\/p>\n

After tonight\u2019s game the Mallards will wrap up their two game road trip to Green Bay with a game tomorrow against the Bullfrogs.<\/p>\n

The Mallards will return to the \u201cDuck Pond\u201d on Wednesday June 20th<\/sup> to finish their series with the Bullfrogs. That night will be Oscar Mayer Appreciation Night at the ballpark, featuring Weiner dog races. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
