Madison, WI – April 23, 2012. \u00a0The Madison Mallards are thrilled to release their full promotional schedule for the 2013 season. \u00a0The schedule is jam-packed with plenty of bobblehead giveaways, Saturday night fireworks shows, several famous celebrities, and hilarious entertainment acts. \u00a0In 2013 you will see the most aggressive, action-packed, fun-paced, thrilling, and daring promotional schedule from the Mallards yet!<\/p>\n

Full 2013 Promotional Schedule<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Opening Week<\/b><\/p>\n

The Mallards start off their season with four straight home games at the “Duck Pond.” \u00a0On Wednesday May 29th, Pepsi and the Great Dane will present Opening Night. \u00a0Fans will receive St. Mary’s poster schedules and the dancing bat boy BBoy McCoy<\/a>\u00a0will be on-hand for in-game entertainment. \u00a0Thursday May 30th will feature the Chet’s Car Care and Charter Communications Mallards Magnet Schedule giveaway and Stoddard’s Country Grove Market Bratwurst Appreciation Night. \u00a0Friday May 31st is the Wisconsin DOT Bike Night featuring the Bike Safety Maynard Bobblehead giveaway. \u00a0The Mallards finish their opening home stand on Saturday June 1st. \u00a0This is the Stop-N-Go 50th Anniversary Celebration and Madison Blues Turn Back the Clock Night with a Blues Hat Giveaway. \u00a0Mallards players will be in Madison Blues uniforms.<\/p>\n

Bobbleheads<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Mallards will have seven bobbleheads this season including the Wisconsin DOT Bike Safety Maynard (May 31st), \u00a0Pepsi Farmer Maynard (June 21st), Charter Communications Officer Maynard (June 23rd), Zimbrick Honda Military Maynard (July 5th), The Great Dane Superhero Maynard (July 6th), Dr. Jay Hazen, Dentistry for Madison Hawaiian Maynard (July 18th), and Marshfield Clinic Fairy Millie (July 28th).<\/p>\n

Firework shows after the game will dazzle fans on five Saturday nights including June 1st presented by The Great Dane, June 15th presented by Budweiser, Rhythm and Booms on July 3rd, July 6th, and August 3rd presented by Charter Communications. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Celebrity Appearances<\/strong><\/p>\n

Several celebrities will be gracing the “Duck Pond” in 2013. \u00a0On June 7th meet Mountain Man from the hit show Duck Dynasty as the Mallards put on their very own Madison Duck Call Championships. \u00a0Don’t miss out on July 27th when WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley comes to the ballpark as part of the Charter Communications Wrestling Night. \u00a0Lastly, Larry Thomas, The Soup Nazi from Seinfeld will be serving (or not serving) fans soup on August 1st. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Entertainment Acts<\/strong><\/p>\n

The dancing bat boy BBoy McCoy<\/a> (May 29th & July 7th), the acrobatic Russian Bar Trio<\/a> (June 28th), and the crazy inflatable animals of the ZOOperstars<\/a> (July 14, July 25 & August 2nd) will all be coming out this summer!<\/p>\n

Theme Nights<\/strong><\/p>\n

On June 12th the Mallards will have Stitch & Pitch Night where all knitters in the Madison area are invited to knit in their seats! \u00a0Law Enforcement Appreciation Night is back for the third season on June 23rd and will lead off with the Heroes Challenge Softball game where local police officers and fireman will battle in a softball classic. \u00a0July 9th will be Social Media Night at the ballpark. \u00a0Fans will be able to participate in the game using social media outlets. #mallards #youtweetweconnect. \u00a0Bacon Appreciation Night will be on July 17th with bacon food specials all over the “Duck Pond” as the Mallards pay tribute to the most delicious of meats. \u00a0Christmas in July will be on July 25th with Maynard dressed as Santa Claus delivering presents to fans in the grandstand. \u00a0August 11th is the Mallards final home game and will be Fan Appreciation Night complete with a garage sale during the game and a Valpak Coupon Giveaway.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Special Events<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"paul-molitor\"The Madison Mallards Inaugural Home Talent Classic, featuring an appearance by Paul Molitor, will be played on Rhythm & Booms, Wednesday July 3rd at 6:05 pm. \u00a0The Home Talent Classic will feature the best young players from all 44 Home Talent League Teams. \u00a0The outfield will be open to view the fireworks show after the game.<\/p>\n

On July 19th the Mallards will host the Home Talent All-Star Game. \u00a0General Admission tickets will be sold for this event.<\/p>\n

The first ever Northwoods League Big League Dreams Showcase will be on July 29th. \u00a0The event will feature the Top 100 Players in the NWL in a doubleheader at 4:05 pm and 7:05 pm. \u00a0The players will be selected by Major League Baseball Scouts and the NWL.<\/p>\n

The 2013 season is upon us! \u00a0Single-game tickets go on-sale April 27th at 9:00 am for all Mallards home games! \u00a0Don’t miss out on your chance to see these incredible promotions this summer!<\/p>\n

The Mallards will host their season opener against the Eau Claire Express on May 29th at 7:05 pm at the “Duck Pond.” \u00a07-Game Packs, season, and group tickets are on sale now! \u00a0<\/p>\n
