Madison, WI \u2013 March 6, 2010. The Mallards and the Madison Parks Division have teamed up to host the Aquafina PITCH, HIT, & RUN local competition for both boys and girls ages 7 to 14 at Warner Park on Saturday, May 8 beginning at 10 a.m.<\/p>\n

All participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and fill out a registration\/waiver form prior to the start of the competition.<\/strong> Registration forms will be provided at the ballpark\u2019s front entrance. <\/p>\n

While the competition is slated to run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., participants are encouraged to arrive at Warner Park at any point during those two times to compete. On average, it takes each participant only two minutes to complete the competition. <\/p>\n

PITCH, HIT, & RUN is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball. This grassroots program is designed to provide youngsters with an opportunity to compete, free of charge, in a competition that recognizes individual excellence in core baseball\/softball skills.<\/p>\n

Competitors are divided into four age and gender divisions: 7\/8, 9\/10, 11\/12, 13\/14, and have the chance to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2010 MLB All-Star Game in Anaheim, California.<\/p>\n

The individual Pitching, Hitting, and Running Champions, along with the All-Around Champion in each age group at the Local Competition will be awarded and advance to the Sectional Level of Competition.<\/p>\n

The Mallards open their 10th season anniversary on Wednesday, June 2 at 7:05 p.m. Single-game tickets go on sale May 8th. But why wait?
