Mallards to Assemble the World’s Largest Pep Band on June 2nd
\n<\/b>Nearby high schools and fans will combine to play music during the game<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The Madison Mallards are teaming up with nearby high schools and their band members to assemble the World\u2019s Largest Pep Band for their game on Monday, June 2nd at 6:05 p.m. against the Rockford Rivets.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participating high schools include Belleville High School, Broadhead High School, Edgerton High School, Fort Atkinson High School, McFarland High School, Monona Grove High School, Oregon High School, Pecatonica High School, Reedsburg Area High School, Watertown High School, and Waunakee High School. In total, they will join to form a band of over 500 musicians.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Fans are encouraged to bring their instruments with them to the ballpark. Any fan who presents their instrument at the Mallards ticket window will receive a specially priced $5 grandstand ticket to join the band and play along. Any fan looking to take advantage of the specially priced ticket deal can do so at the ticket window on the day of the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band will play the national anthem on the field pregame. They will also play \u201cOn Wisconsin\u201d at the end of the first inning, as well as two renditions of \u201c7 Nation Army\u201d; first as the walk-up song for the second Mallards hitter in the bottom of the second inning, and again as a long rendition at the end of the second inning.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Madison Mallards are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. The Northwoods League is the proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. Entering its\u2019 32nd season, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in history with 24 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires, and front office staff, nearly 2400 NWL alums have been drafted and over 380 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time All-Star and 2016 Roberto Clemente Award winner Curtis Granderson, three-time Cy Young Award winner and World Series Champion Max Scherzer (TOR), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist and Brandon Crawford and World Series Champion Chris Sale (ATL). As well as 2019 Rookie of the Year and 2019\/2021 Home Run Derby Champion Pete Alonso (NYM) and 2023 World Series Champion, MLB All-Star, MLB Gold Glove, two-time Silver Slugger winner and two-time All-MLB first team shortstop Marcus Semien (TEX).
