\"kapcopark\"The Madison Mallards would like to welcome the newest member of the Northwoods League, the Lakeshore Chinooks. The Chinooks and the Northwoods League announced Tuesday that the expansion franchise located in Mequon will start play in 2012.\u00a0 The team will be co-owned by former Brewer great Robin Yount and Brewers legendary radio voice Bob Uecker. \u00a0The majority owner will be Jim Kacmarcik of Kapco Inc. out of Grafton, WI. \u00a0The team will play all of its home games at a newly renovated field at Concordia Uniersity-Wisconsin, on the shores of Lake Michigan. \u00a0The Chinooks will join the Madison Mallards, Green Bay Bullfrogs, Wisconsin Woodchucks, Eau Claire Express, LaCrosse Loggers and Wisconsin Rapids Rafters as Wisconsin’s members of the Northwoods League.<\/p>\n
