On a night when thousands of people showed up at Warner Park for the Rhythm and Booms Fireworks, the Mallards provided fireworks of their own, erupting for a season high 19 hits and tying a season high with 12 runs en route to a 12-1 victory over the Waterloo Bucks Saturday evening at the Duck Pond. <\/p>\n

The victory marked the second time in three days that the Mallards scored 12 runs, a feat they have accomplished three times this season. <\/p>\n

Madison scored in the first inning for the third straight time on their current home stand and never looked back. The University of Illinois duo continued their hot hitting as Ryan Rogowski singled to lead off the game before scoring on an RBI double by Mike Rohde. Kelly Sweppenhiser followed with an RBI groundout and Kris Rochelle produced an RBI single of his own to give the Mallards a 3-0 lead after the first inning.<\/p>\n

The Mallards poured it on in the third inning as seven of the nine starters singled in the inning; including four straight hits at one point as Madison built a 7-0 lead. <\/p>\n

The Mallards also had six different Mallards that finished with multi-hit games, the most in any game this season. Danny Dressman led the way for the Mallards with a three-for-four outing to go along with his game-high four RBI. <\/p>\n

Jordan Comadena had a perfect night at the plate going three-for-three with three runs scored and an RBI for Madison. Ryan Bond, Ryan Rogowski, Randy Molina and Kris Rochelle also recorded multi-hit games.<\/p>\n

Adam Mills pitched three and two-thirds innings of scoreless ball before leaving the game with a groin injury. Mike Creevy (2-1) finished the fourth and pitched a scoreless fifth to record his second win of the season.<\/p>\n
