Coming off a nail-biting, first-half clinching victory Thursday night in Mankato, the Mallards were lucky to escape the clutches of Rob Harmon and the Waterloo Bucks, as he no hit the Mallards through the first eight and one third innings, eventually winning 9-1, allowing only two hits.<\/p>\n

The Mallards were tied with the Bucks before Mark Moriarty walked in the game?s first run in the fifth before Kenny Pokryfke gave up a two-out grand slam to Zach Daeges. <\/p>\n

Danny Dressman ended Harmon?s no-hit bid, collecting a one-out base hit into right-center field in the ninth. After Harmon struck out Kyle Murphy the Mallards scored their only run of the game with an RBI double from Randy Molina hitting off the top of the fence and coming back into the field of play. <\/p>\n

Other than the stellar pitching performance from Harmon, the Bucks received a 4-for-4 performance at the plate from Anthony Gressick.<\/p>\n

The Mallards are back in action tomorrow night in Waterloo, taking on the Bucks at 7:05 p.m. The next Mallards home game is Friday, July 22nd against the La Crosse Loggers at 7:05 p.m. Great seats for all remaining home games are available both online, at www.mallardsbaseball.com, or by calling 246.4277.<\/p>\n
