\n\tMadison, Wis. – The Madison Mallards (8-3) beat the Green Bay Bullfrogs (7-4) tonight 10-7 before 6,067 at the “Duck Pond.”  Starting Mallards pitcher Chris Oakley (North Carolina) lasted 1.1 innings, giving up four runs on two hits while walking five. Bullfrog starter Ryan McCourt (Coffeyville CC) had a similar outing, after letting up eight runs on seven hits in the first inning. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Mallards were led offensively by Joe Dudek (North Carolina). Playing in his first game for with the Mallards, Dudek was 3-3 with a double, sacrifice fly and two singles. He also walked once and drove in three Mallard base runners. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMallards pitcher Andrew Buckley came in after Oakley and worked 2.2 innings, giving up three runs on two hits. Ben Neumann (Northern Illinois) pitched a scoreless relief effort to receive the win, going 2.1 innings with two strikeouts and two walks. Tim Black (Central Michigan) closed out the game for the Mallards in the eighth and ninth, pitching 1.1 innings and fanning three Bullfrog batters while giving up one hit.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTomorrow the Mallards wrap up their four game homestand at the “Duck Pond” against the Bullfrogs. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 pm. Saturdays game is the <\/span>Luedkte-Storm Mackey 10 year Anniversary of the 2004 Championship Team Celebration with a Mallards Tumbler Giveaway. There will be a Pre-Game Ring Ceremony for 2013 Championship Team with rings handcrafted by The Diamond Center and Hy-Vee Post-Game Fireworks. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
