In the third inning of the Madison Mallards game against the Willmar Stingers last night at the &ldquo;Duck Pond,&rdquo; one lucky fan won $10,000 when Mallards designated hitter Pete Alonso roped a line drive to the gap in right-center field. Alonso chugged into third to record his first triple of the year, and with the base hit, Valorie Ballweg of Waunakee, Wisconsin won the prize of the Charter Triple The Excitement Promotion. The prize awards a fan $10,000 if a Mallards player hits a triple in the third inning.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height:1;margin-top:5pt;margin-bottom:5pt\">\n\t<span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-eec69774-4b72-1069-7187-4aeff9cd36c0\"><span>Valorie is the first fan to win the promotion, and the Mallards will present her with the check in a pregame ceremonial check presentation later this season at the &ldquo;Duck Pond&rdquo; with Charter Communications representatives present.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height:1;margin-top:5pt;margin-bottom:5pt;text-align: center\">\n\t<em><span style=\"font-size:11px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-eec69774-4b72-1069-7187-4aeff9cd36c0\"><span>###<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height:1;margin-top:5pt;margin-bottom:5pt\">\n\t<em><span style=\"font-size:11px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-eec69774-4b72-1069-7187-4aeff9cd36c0\"><span>The Madison Mallards are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League.
