During the 2014 season, the Mallards scored 179 runs at home.<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.6em\">&nbsp;West Bend Insurance presented a check to the United Way before the Mallards last home game for $4,400.&nbsp;<\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height:1;margin-top:5pt;margin-bottom:5pt;text-align: center\">\n\t<em><span style=\"font-size:11px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-02456660-b438-8410-c15b-63f25a329bbe\"><span>###<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>\n<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height:1;margin-top:5pt;margin-bottom:5pt\">\n\t<em><span style=\"font-size:11px\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif\"><span id=\"docs-internal-guid-02456660-b438-8410-c15b-63f25a329bbe\"><span>The Madison Mallards are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 21st<\/span><span> <\/span><span>season of summer collegiate baseball, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 115 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (DET) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (STL) and Ben Zobrist (TB).
