\"AlternateJerseyPR\"<\/a>Madison, Wis.\u00a0 For the past few months, the Madison Mallards have been working with Madison Area Middle School students in hopes to find an artistic design for the 2015 alternate jersey.\u00a0\u00a0 The Mallards received over 125 submissions from eight different schools throughout the Madison area.<\/span><\/p>\n

After taking all designs into consideration, the Mallards are proud to announce a winner.\u00a0 Hannah Wirag from River Bluff Middle School in Stoughton is this year\u2019s contest winner.\u00a0 The Mallards will work with Hannah’s submission to design a final product.\u00a0 The actual jersey design will be released at a later time.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mallards will be wearing Hannah’s jersey on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:35 pm against the Green Bay Bullfrogs.\u00a0 Hannah has been given the opportunity to throw out the first pitch to that night\u2019s game as well as tickets to share with her family and friends.\u00a0 Hannah will also be given her very own alternate jersey.\u00a0 During the game the Mallards will hold a silent auction for the jerseys with proceeds from the auction going to River Bluff Middle School.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mallards open the 2015 season at the \u201cDuck Pond\u201d on Tuesday, May 26th at 6:35 pm against the Kalamazoo Growlers.\u00a0 Mallards single game tickets go on-sale Saturday, April 25th at 9:00 am.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Madison Mallards are a member of the finest developmental league for elite college baseball players, the Northwoods League. Playing its 22nd season of summer collegiate baseball in 2015, the Northwoods League is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 18 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 120 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (CWS), Jordan Zimmermann (WAS), Curtis Granderson (NYM), Allen Craig (BOS) and Ben Zobrist (OAK).
