\n\t\"July3rd\"The Mallards will be looking for their 21st<\/sup> win of the 2016 season tonight, as Madison (20-13) prepares to take on the St. Cloud Rox (23-9). The game will be the conclusion of a two game-set as well as the last regular season matchup between these two teams this season. The Rox topped the Mallards by a score of 4-0 in the first matchup between the inter-division foes a night ago.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMike Reitcheck (Penn) will get the call for the Mallards tonight, as the Illinois-born left-hander will attempt to improve to a perfect 4-0 record on the year. Reitcheck was sensational in his last outing, allowing one run in six frames against the Chinooks. Reitcheck will be making his sixth start of 2016, standing at a 3-0 record and 4.66 ERA.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tShelby Lackey (Pacific) will make his third start of the season for the Rox, having yet to earn a decision. Lackey has thrown 16 innings and struck out 14 in that span, posting a 2.81 ERA. Opposing hitters are hitting just .216 against the right-hander.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Madison offense will look to bounce back after being shut out for the first time all season last night, mustering only four hits as a team. The Mallards currently rank sixth in the Northwoods League in runs scored.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWith the loss last night and the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters win, Madison finds themselves three games back in the first-half standings with three games to play. They’ll need to win out as well as have the Rafters lose their final three games to send the first-half South division title to a tie.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTonight’s game against the St. Cloud Rox is set for 5:05 pm from the Duck Pond at Warner Park. The game will feature postgame fireworks, presented by U.S. Bank.
