\n\t\"AUGUSTThe Northwoods League Major League Dreams Showcase will take place at the Duck Pond on Tuesday evening, with the top players in the league coming to Madison to demonstrate their skills for Major League Baseball scouts. The players have been separated into four teams, with game one getting underway at 4:05 pm and game two starting at 7:35 pm.
\n\tPrior to the showcase games, there will be a combine portion of the event, where scouts will be able to observe the players participate in various drills.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe home team in game one will have some definite star-power, with home run leader Daulton Varsho (UW-Milwaukee) and saves leader Garrett Schilling (Xavier) set to represent the squad. They will faceoff against a team led by Jake Schepski (Notre Dame), who finds himself as an MVP candidate with only a few games left to play.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe hometown Madison Mallards have the most representatives in the second game, led by closer Troy Bacon (Santa Fe College) and Josh Stowers (Louisville), who leads the second-place Mallards in batting average. Daniel Jipping (Central Michigan) will headline the visiting team in game number two, who sits as one of the leaders in the Northwoods League in almost every offensive category.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tGates for the Major League Dreams Showcase will open at 3:00 pm, with game one starting at 4:05 pm and game two starting at 7:05 pm. The game will feature The Great Dane Throwback Maynard bobblehead giveaway as well as an appearance by former 4-time MLB All-Star and 1949 American League Rookie of the Year Roy Sievers. Tickets are available for purchase by visiting MallardsBaseball.com, calling the Mallards ticket office at 608-246-4277, or stopping in the ticket office at 2920 N Sherman Ave.\n<\/p>\n
