The Eagles recently ended their season as the NJCAA DII Softball World Series Runner-Up, so Sprague is looking to bring that same level of competitive excellence to the Habaneros. With a strong track record and proven skills on the mound, she aims to make a significant impact and contribute to the team&#8217;s success.<\/p>\n<p>Sprague has posted a notable 2.32 ERA with 157 strikeouts during 53 appearances, demonstrating her dominance on the mound. Her impressive ERA and high strikeout count highlight her ability to consistently perform under pressure and effectively challenge hitters. These stats suggest that she will be an impressive addition to the Habaneros&#8217; pitching rotation. Sprague\u2019s experience in high-stakes games, especially during the Eagles\u2019 deep run in the NJCAA DII Softball World Series, will be invaluable as she brings competitive experience and resilience to the Habaneros.<\/p>\n<p>As the team prepares for the upcoming season, Sprague&#8217;s blend of skill, experience, and determination is expected to elevate the Habaneros&#8217; performance and drive them towards success. With her on the roster, the Habaneros are not only gaining a top-tier pitcher but also a dedicated athlete ready to lead the team to victory.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>####<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>Leveraging the 30-year success of the Northwoods League, the first for-profit Summer Collegiate Baseball League, Northwoods League Softball (NWLS) will be the first for-profit Women\u2019s Summer Collegiate Softball League beginning play in the Upper Midwest in the summer of 2024.\u00a0 The purpose of the League will be to develop players for their college, Olympic and future professional play.\u00a0 Teams will be promoted similar to minor league baseball teams, playing games in front of fans in a fun, friendly, family-oriented environment.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MANKATO, MN \u2013 Jenna Sprague, a sophomore pitcher from Kirkwood Community College, is the newest member of the Habaneros.
