The Habaneros beat the Night Mares 5-4 in a 7th-inning\u00a0walk off cementing their solo spot in first place in the standings with an 8-2 record.<\/p>\n<p>Jessa Snippes (University of Minnesota) got her fourth win on the season on the mound with an impressive 2.66 ERA and 4 strikeouts. She now leads the league in wins on the season as well.<\/p>\n<p>All five runs were brought in by different players, showcasing the immense talent from the Habaneros lineup.<\/p>\n<p>Josecelyn Bennett (Bryant and Stratton College) was the one who brought in the winning run for the most exciting win so far this season.<\/p>\n<p>Not only were they impressive at the plate, but it was a notable night defensively as well. Altogether, the Habaneros had a total of 21 putouts and 10 assists.<\/p>\n<p>The intensity of this matchup sets the stage for what promises to be an exciting doubleheader tomorrow night.
