A key piece of last year\u2019s championship run, Emma\u2019s skill, leadership, and relentless drive make her a force to be reckoned with.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559731&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">I asked Emma if her preparations at Trine University would differ from getting ready for another season with the Mankato Habaneros. She explained that playing collegiate softball has been very helpful in preparing her for the Northwoods League. The high level of competition at Trine gives her confidence, knowing that the skills and hard work she\u2019s put in at the college level translate well when stepping onto the field in the Northwoods League.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335559731&quot;:0}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Emma Lee, a returning player for the Mankato Habaneros, shared her thoughts on what skill set makes her stand out. Her consistency carries over to Trine University, where she hit .333 with 45 hits and 35 RBIs, a testament to her reliability at the plate.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335551550&quot;:0,&quot;335551620&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:240,&quot;335559739&quot;:240}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Looking ahead, Emma wants the new members of the Habaneros to understand the responsibility that comes with being defending champions. <\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cWe have a title to protect, and we\u2019re not settling for anything less,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> she emphasized.
