{"id":35223,"date":"2026-06-13T20:16:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-14T01:16:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/mankato-habaneros\/?p=35223"},"modified":"2026-06-13T20:16:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-14T01:16:14","slug":"habaneros-come-up-short-against-steam-12-8","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northwoodsleague.com\/mankato-habaneros\/2026\/06\/13\/habaneros-come-up-short-against-steam-12-8\/","title":{"rendered":"Habaneros Come Up Short Against Steam, 12-8"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>LA CROSSE, WIS. \u2014 <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Mankato Habaneros jumped out to an early lead but fell to the La Crosse Steam 12-8 on Saturday night.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mankato scored five runs in the third inning to take a 6-1 advantage, but La Crosse responded with six runs in the fourth and never looked back.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ava McKee (Bowling Green State University) paced the Habaneros offense, going 3-for-4 with a home run, double, and four RBIs.
